but they shouldn't have told you they were holding it for you. What they meant by that was, "you can buy it if someone else doesn't first." If they told you the truth it could have two effects: 1) make you hurry to go get the car or 2) disinterest you because you feel pressured. But, they have people tell them "I'm coming to get the car" all the time, too -- and a bunch of those people never come. So, they've gotta sell the car as soon as someone shows up with the money. Still, they ought to be upfront.
